The production area of Soave is located in 13 municipalities in the eastern part of the hilly area of the province of Verona. One of the largest vineyards in Europe by extension, with its 6,600 hectares it was the first DOC recognized in Italy in 1936 and, in recent years it has obtained two controlled and guaranteed denominations of origin, the highest quality certifications under the oenological profile: the Recioto di Soave DOCG and the Soave Superiore D.O.C.G. The use of the "CLASSIC" specification in addition to the denomination "SOAVE" is reserved for the product obtained from grapes harvested and vinified in the hilly areas of the municipalities of Soave and Monteforte D'Alpone, in which you will find the most ancient original area, known as " the Historic area”
Soave is a very versatile white wine for pairings, which therefore allows you to find the right combination with a very wide range of dishes, from appetizers, to first courses, to fish or white meat dishes. The vintage Soave is excellent both as an aperitif and to accompany light appetisers or first courses based on fish or vegetables. The more structured versions, such as the Soave Superiore DOCG, are also combined with white meats or fish in more complex and spicy preparations, the reserves are best combined with baked white meats but also with medium-aged cheeses. Soave wine must be served cool at a temperature of about 10 °.
